Becoming a Reiki Practitioner – What is Reiki Attunement?
Everyone can receive enough Reiki to keep themselves healthy and well. A Reiki Practitioners can receive more Reiki than they need, which they can channel to people, places or situation as a part of a Reiki treatment. To receive more Reiki, energetic paths ways of the Reiki Practitioner needs to be changed. This process of changing the energetic pathways is called Reiki Attunement. In the Attunement process Reiki Master performs a ceremony passed down through the Reiki lineage, with tje intention of attuning the student to Reiki . The student take part in the Attunement process with the intention of being attuned to Reiki . I have noticed that different lineages have slightly different Attunement ceremonies.
